Designer's Block

The bad thing about designing a game for me is that I have a thousand ideas running in my head, and I've barely done anything with Sketch 2 already. I've drawn some of the graphics, but there's so many directions I could go with this right now.

Making this game the best game I've made thus far, and a superior game versus the first Sketch is my goal, but what sort of traits or features would make this game fun for those playing it?

That's one of the problems with designing a game. You don't really know what exactly players look for in a platform game. That's why I'm adding RPG and adventure elements to it, to make it unique compared to other platform games that are out right now.

I want that epic feel, with big flamboyant boss fights, and maybe some puzzles.

I'm sure I'll work it all out, but right now, I'm stumped.
